This tour will start from Sofia, the Bulgarian capital, with a welcome meeting at your hotel. Afterwards we will head to Svishtov, located on the Danube River bank – the first place on our itinerary. After having some stroll and sightseeing alongside Danube River, we will continue to the northern Black Sea coast, where we will visit the town of Shabla and its famous Shabla Lighthouse; the fishing village Karia, the rocky beach “Little sea”, Tyulenovo rock formations, Kaliakra, Balchik and the summer capital of Bulgaria – Varna. On the way back to Sofia we will stop in Veliko Tarnovo, the old capital of Bulgaria. We will finish our tour in Sofia.

Day 1 Arriving in Sofia, Bulgaria
We will meet you at Sofia Airport and will transfer you to your hotel. A welcome meeting will be held at the hotel, where you will receive detailed information for places of interest, maps and itinerary description. Overnight in Sofia.
Day 2 Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria
Today we will visit some of the main attractions in Sofia, like St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral – one of the largest orthodox churches worldwide, Banya Bashi Mosque – a rebuilt bathhouse, the Largo – an architectural ensemble of three Socialist Classicism edifices in central Sofia and many other. Overnight in Sofia.
Day 3 Sofia – Svishtov and Danube River (235 km)
We will departure for Svishtov. After checking in the hotel we will have a walk along the Danube river bank and will visit some of the attractions in the city. Overnight in a hotel with a stunning view over the river.
Day 4 Svishtov – Northern Black Sea Coast (Shabla Lighthouse, the abandoned pier; fishing village Karia, the rocky beach Little sea, Tyulenovo rock formations) (300 km)
In the morning we will head to the Black Sea coast eastwards. Today we will visit the Shabla Lighthouse, the fishing village Karia, the rocky beach Little sea and Tyulenovo rock formations.
We will have enough time for short stops at the villages of Kamen Bryag and Tyulenovo, where from the high plateau you can admire the superb seascapes. Overnight in the region.
Day 5 Kaliakra – Balchik – Varna (290 km)
After the breakfast we will continue to cape Kaliakra, renowned for its dramatic history and archeological remains, as well as for its extremely impressive rock coasts and cliffs with dizzy height.
At the afternoon we will visit Blachik. The town sprawls scenically along hilly terraces descending from the Dobrudja plateau to the sea. Here are the impressive Quiet Nest Palace, constructed between 1926 and 1937 for the needs of Queen Marie of Romania. We will visit also the Botanical Garden at the Palace, the largest in Bulgaria and the Balkans.
At the end of the day we will head to Varna, the summer capital of Bulgaria. Overnight in Varna.
Day 6 Varna
After the breakfast we will have a sightseeing walk around the city and its major attractions like Varna’s centre, rebuilt in late 19 th and the earlier half of the 20th century with local interpretations of Neo-Renaissance, Neo-Baroque, Neoclassicism, Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
At the afternoon we will visit the “Pobiti Kamani”, literally “the rocks which got hit” – a bunch of gigantic rocks, standing up, in the middle of nowhere. The rocks are said to radiate energy and a lot of hippies stop by. Overnight in Varna.
Day 7 Wonderful Rocks
Today we will visit the rock phenomenon – Wonderful Rocks, near the village of Asparuhovo, about 65 km west from Varna. The Wonderful Rocks is a massif consisting of about ten beautiful rock needles, 40-50 meters high, shaped like castle towers. They were formed by the effect of water and wind on limestone. The rocks had formed directly by the banks of Tsonevo dam, where they are steepest and vertical. Overnight in Varna.
Day 8 Veliko Tarnovo (250 km)
Early in the morning we will head to the city of Veliko Tarnovo, the old capital of Bulgaria. We will arrive at about 10.00 AM and will have the whole day to visit its most remaracable monumnts and places.
In Veliko Turnovo, we will visit the castle of the old Bulgarian capital – Tsarevets and the old city – a collection of traditional renaissance houses scattered over the hills around the river Yantra. At the late afternoon or in the evening we will head to Sofia (250 km). Overnight in Sofia.
Day 9 Transfer to the airport and departure
